When to go to Pokhara?
Pokhara runs along Phewa Lake, where rowing boats cross to the Tal Barahi shrine on its islet and the Annapurna range doubles itself in the water on a still morning. The Peace Pagoda on the southern ridge is the reward for a sweaty climb; Sarangkot, higher again, is where people gather before dawn to watch the snow turn gold. Waterfalls and lakeside tea houses fill the hours between.
