When to go to Delhi?
Delhi is best taken in layers. The Qutb Minar and Humayun's Tomb stand in gardens on the southern side, red sandstone against clipped lawns, while the Red Fort and Jama Masjid face the crowded lanes of Old Delhi. Chandni Chowk supplies the rest: parathas, chai, silver by the gram and a level of noise that takes some getting used to.
