When to go to Puerto Vallarta?
The Malecón follows the bay with bronze sculptures, buskers and a great deal of evening strolling, and the old town behind it is cobbled, under the crown-topped tower of the Guadalupe church. Playa de los Muertos supplies the beach chairs and the taco stands. Boats leave for the Marietas Islands and the quiet cove of Las Caletas.
