When to go to Mexico City?
The Zócalo opens flat and enormous at the centre of Mexico City, the Metropolitan Cathedral along one side and colonial arcades around the rest. Coyoacán, further south, is all courtyards, cantinas and a market of tacos and painted crafts. The National Anthropology Museum holds the pieces that make sense of Teotihuacán, whose pyramids stand on the plain to the north.
