When to go to Hanoi?
Hanoi's Old Quarter still sorts itself by trade, one street for tin, another for silk, and the pavement doubles as kitchen, workshop and cafe. Hoan Kiem Lake gives the city its centre, with the red bridge across to Ngoc Son Pagoda and joggers circling the water at daybreak.
