When to go to Ushuaia?
Ushuaia trades on its Fin del Mundo billing and rather earns it, snow peaks at its back and the grey water of the Beagle Channel in front. Boats leave the pier for sea lions and cormorant colonies on the islets, while Tierra del Fuego national park offers peat bogs, lenga forest and empty coastline. The old narrow-gauge train still runs out of town.
