When to go to Leipzig?

In a former cotton mill on the western side, the Spinnerei has turned brick halls into studios and galleries; south of the centre, the colossal Völkerschlachtdenkmal rises in dark granite above its reflecting pool. The zoo, one of the oldest in Europe, fills a green quarter near the middle.
